In March, our good friend Bob went away on his annual late winter/early spring excursion with his nephews, this year to Florida. He sent us these pictures in four different reports. My comments are in red.
Dear LeMays
Had a great flight on Jet Blue. Gotta love those television sets. Got to watch the Big Ten channel (there's PORN on an airplane?) where my inner jock came out (didn't you get a ticket once for doing that?). Got to see their wrestling and diving competitions... (the "bi" man's secret porn). Sports fan or not, it was nice to watch.
On the first full day here in Florida, we went to Winter Haven to watch a spring training baseball game between the Cleveland Indians and Toronto Blue Jays. It was a
beautiful day. One of the player's name is Ben Francisco. Gotta love that name. I wore my own baseball shoes that I bought last year at Lenny's ...
And I began my tour of the mens rooms of southern Florida. (Oh pleeeze say it ain't so.) It ain't so.
More in a day or so....
B
Is that it? We expect more...
MISSIVE #2
We went to the Universal Studio park in Orlando. I went on both rollercoasters, The Hulk (pictured) and the Dueling Dragons (from the look at the picture from the other day, you could've ridden The Bulk). It was a cloudy day, but that kept the crowds down and the lines weren't too long.

One of the rides, Jaws, was a water ride and we had a great tour guide, Jones. Yes, that's what is on his name tag.
Can't get away from Ben & Jerry's (But how often are you seen carrying a beer in front one? Oh, right, it's you.) Not sure why they asked me to pose in front of the other store...

Again, they said, "Stand here" I did. Then I stood, looking up, at this statue in front of the NBA City restaurant.
All I can say, it's true... big feet... big shoes.

It was a hot day do I had to keep hydrated.
(What, the park ran out of beer?)
And even on vacation I've got the weight of the world on my shoulders.
(And probably a couple of pair of ankles, too.)

We were hoping the park's new Simpsons ride would be up and running - but it wasn't. But I did get to ogle at a picture of Groundskeeper Willy. He's ripped!!
(You really don't get out/away much, do you?)
MISSIVE #3
While in Orlando, close to our hotel, I noticed a "for lease" property on the main drag going to the Universal Studios.
It was formerly "Dottie's Comedy Theatre" and being advertised as a theater-night club-retail property. If anyone would like to lease this property and have some crazy-assed drag queens from Vermont to perform in it, I can arrange that. (Or just contact me, Amber, for a much better deal...)

MISSIVE #4 (and final!)
Amber says she's getting bored with this thread so I've gotta wrap this up (you've heard that before!). Anyways, I'm back in the snow so I guess it's on to other things...
While in Orlando, we visited "The World's Largest Gift Shop"!!! Yes! But, I gotta tell ya, with a little remodeling and some additional construction, Pierre's Buck Stop in Beaver Pond could give this place a run for its title. But I did get to see a stuffed gator up close...
While there I decided I needed a new "look." Hulk Hogan, perhaps?

Bob, please, you know how I HATE to repeat jokes...
Bulk Hogan, perhaps!?!
It was on to Clearwater where it was windy!! And a bit cooler than I had hoped.

As pulled into town we found ourselves right in the middle of a protest march!! Felt right at home! This was a protest against the Church of Scientology which has an office there. Here's report . It was nice to see Clearwater's finest, too (and it looks like their best side!).
That evening we went to a club called Shephards Backyard Tiki Bar to watch the sunset-that-wasn't but saw a great band... more bands in Vermont need look like this!! (Yeah, get your buddies The Decoys to get right on that "look".)
On Saturday night I did get away from my nephews and headed to the Pro Shop bar in Clearwater. Didn't take any pictures... had already had a bunch to drink before I got there (took a taxi). The bartender, Daryl was SUPER. Kept a good eye on me. (That and probably had a nice body).
From Clearwater we went to South Beach, Miami. Again, it was a bit too windy for the beach so we I sat and watched the scenes at the pool.

Then we went for a walk and I tried to get into the Versace Mansion. (Dressed like that and they wouldn't let you in?)
And then it was St. Patrick's Day... so what did I do in Florida? Found a big cock... statue at a Cuban restaurant. A big smoking cock! (You really are pathetic, aren't you.)

On the last day we went to the beach in Ft. Lauderdale - again too windy and overcast to enjoy fully. But I was with good company and had a great time.
Amber, I hope this is what you wanted from me, we know what you're like when you don't get what you want...
I guess it will do... but I'm sure glad you're back!!! Keeping track of Maggie, Lucy Belle, Bibs and Liza sure is a job... don't know how you do it!!
I said, send back pictures of young good looking guys!!
Lucy - I'm sure Bob realizes that pictures on the internets can be very
incriminating in a court of law.
While Bob was in Florida, Zook and Alex Dostie were in San Francisco. Not
surprisingly Finnigan's reported that sales of alcohol were down all over
the city of Burlington for the entire week.
How long is Bob supposed to be in Florida? And how long before global
warming swallows Florida up?
now thats what you call a roller coaster
