BobTown #17 - Burlington's New Hot Corner

The new happening corner in town is at the southwest one of Main & Champlain.  Great and varied food selections and a funky furniture/art store, too.  What's there?

(1) It's the new bakery/eatery/soon-to-be-entertainment-hangout August First; (2) The ecclectic Euro Cafe; (3) BBQ fans favorite spot Big Fatty's and (4) Anjou & The Little Pear, "Burlington's Greatest Treasure Hunt." 

The newest kid on the corner is August First, having opened on the 17th.  Local, organic ingredients, prepared on premises, breakfast and lunch for now but with plans on later evening food to come (as well as some entertainment with a beer/wine license!), wifi, too. Check out their website for their menu and other info.

 
Anjou is worth a walk-in.  As a "Cosignor of Home Furnishings, Local Art, UpCyclers and more" it's easy to spend an hour or so wandering about.  And, as a cosignor, they're looking for your former treasure that can be turned into someone's new "must have." 
 
This corner is just a short walk from downtown, halfway to the lake.

A LOT of our pictures/posts come from Burlington and our good friend Bob, so we've decided to let him loose on his favorite city and give him his own section of our blog... we'll call it BobTown.   Most of the time it won't have anything to do with drag or gay stuff or even him... just stories about... BobTown.   We get a lot of hits from all over the world - probably from people who want to know more about Vermont's Queen City.  Maybe they're future tourists or they're thinking about moving.   You locals may learn something, too!  Enjoy!!
