BobTown #7 - A Saturday on Church Street

posted Saturday, 30 May 2009

After a week of rain, a chance of sun brought Church Street in Burlington to its glory.   On Saturday, May 30, people were downtown for the Farmers Market, shopping, touristing or just being out - it was crowded.

And there were the musicians, non-profit organization information tables, entertainers, food vendors, and others to keep them amused.

Sara Glasgow of Triptych Creations had her Face Art table set up.  We've seen Sara (along with compadre Rebecca Reil) create her magic at several Drag Balls, Zombie Walks, Halloweens and even a production of Beauty and the Beast.

Sara and Rebecca are available for all types of public and private events - such as parties, demonstrations, casulty simulations and special effects work.  You can reach them at faceart@gmail.com.

A block down the street was Graham Keegan manning his new TickTick cart.  He's brought his unique stuff to the public... hand created designs, silk screened shirts and posters... if it can be put on paper, he'll do it.   He also helps with creating images for companies (most recently Girlington Garage that's opening next week).

A LOT of our pictures/posts come from Burlington and our good friend Bob, so we've decided to let him loose on his favorite city and give him his own section of our blog... we'll call it BobTown.   Most of the time it won't have anything to do with drag or gay stuff or even him... just stories about... BobTown.   We get a lot of hits from all over the world - probably from people who want to know more about Vermont's Queen City.  Maybe they're future tourists or they're thinking about moving.   You locals may learn something, too!  Enjoy!  To read other BobTown entries, click HERE.
