HAIR CARE TIPS by Lucy Belle LeMay

When I was a little girl back in Mississippi I remember waiting by the mailbox for the Sally Young paper to come.

That's me on the right with my sisters. We are waiting for the newspaper of beauty tips for women. My favorite was the one,"What's Wrong With Your Hair?" If it wasn't for that article I probably would not have won Biggest Hair 4 times at Carnival in Provincetown, Ma. I've been told that I have beautiful hair. I owe it all to Sally Young. Here are a few tips I use regularly:

1. Brush hair daily to remove accumulated dust.

2. For hair that's difficult to handle, say after a shower. The little stubborn ends will not return to their places, try a little beer on your comb. See how quickly it will make those strands behave.

3. To lessen hair tangles and color streakiness, try an egg shampoo. Dissolve one egg in your shampoo (just enough for your ordinary two washings), dilute with a little water. Wet hair thoroughly in warm water, apply shampoo and wash as usual. Rinse thoroughly.

No hair of course, can be lovely that is not clean. Make sure to shampoo regularly. With these few tips you too could have beautiful big hair like me.
