On Tuesday, April 15, Higher Ground celebrated their 10th anniversary of being THE premier club/concert venue between Boston and Montreal. We've had many fun times at Higher Ground... the six(!) Drag Balls that we've hosted/produced, Ghouls Gone Wild, the Mr. Pride Contest, Uniform Party, and many other dances, comedy nights and concerts. So we HAD to go and celebrate with our friends.
We made special commemorative buttons (above) for the occasion, got dressed up, and the four of us... yes, Liza was there, too... headed out for a fun night. We weren't disappointed!!!
The owners, management and staff of Higher Ground have always welcomed us with open arms... and we love it!!

Yes, we had a good time. And it was so cool to see that the stars that we hung over the bar in the Showcase Lounge, four years ago, were still there - shining brightly, shining proudly...
And then it was time to go home. We called our chariot to take us back to Beaver Pond.

Ahhh, remember the old days when you used to spend April 15th upstairs at
the bar at midnight to watch and laugh at all those people who were just
too stupid to get their taxes in on time, and who thought that even though
it was 12:05 some government worker was going to magically reopen the post
office just for them if they just pounded on the door and screamed? How
times have changed.
