Happy Odd Day - 5/7/9!!!
Why do we hear about these things when it's too late to participate? Today, Thursday, the seventh day of May, 2009, is considered "Odd Day"... 5/7/9. According to www.oddday.net...
Three consecutive odd numbers make up the date only six times in a century. This day marks the half-way point in this parade of Odd Days which began with 1/3/5. The previous stretch of six dates like this started with 1/3/1905---13 months after the Wright Brothers' flight.
True? I don't know but if you go to their page they have set up a contest that sounds right up a LeMay's alley (insert groinacological joke here). They want you/us to create the oddest parade with the oddest assortment of characters and submit pictures. Wait... maybe I should just to to Church Street in Burlington, snap a few shots, and submit those and then wait and collect the prize of $579.
