Looking Back - August 2008

August was a very busy month for us.  So here are some of the blog entries we posted.  The number in parenthesis is the number of "reads" it got.

PARDON OUR INK

We were honored to be voted Runner-Up in the non-political blog category for this year's Seven Days Daysie awards.  First we told you the results with R-U a winner?  We R!!!!  (361) and then we posted the wild, fun pictures of the night with Dayzees '08 - The Pix Are In!!  (435).   And, being the media sluts we are, the same night as the Daysies, we were captured for the Burlington Free Press' B Scene... Who "B Scene"?  We "B Scene"!!!  (229).  Since that weekly publication began back in March, we've been pictured in at least 10 issues.  AND we also shared the news that we were featured in another new publication in town with What does "H" stand for???  (151).

PTOWN POPULARITY

If it's August, it must be Carnival time in Ptown.  And the LeMays were there in force.  Going as the Wild Wild Mess Saloon, we showed you pictures of the parties, the parades, the guys, the gays, the happy and the hunks in Lucy Belle's P'Town Diary 2008  (764).  

GAYS GAZE AT US

Again we let people in our community know what was going on with...New gay bar in the area!!!!  (618) and Dancing isn't Square anymore!!!  (139).  The second one was about the Champlain Valley Rainbow Squares.  Not sure if they're still dosey-doeing or not as their web page is no longer up and running.  And there were lots of pictures from the White Party '08  (228).  And something came to an end in Adios Salsa Sundays! (165).

POLITICS AS UNUSUAL

After all it was an election year... our buddy Bob posed with Governor Douglas (Vermont Politics - LeMay Style  (139)), the League of Drag Queen Voters made a video - NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO!!!  (183) with over 2,000 views on YouTube and we told you that cruising on Manhunt could be aiding and abetting the opposition - Are you a ManHunt-er?  (267).

PENISES AND POSERS

We continued our obsession with Penis Patrol Returns (192) and Punch'em in the WHAAAT?  (298).  And what the hell, we asked Jake Gyllenhaal - what's his story? (202).

The Daisies ran right into P'town. Weeks of FUN!! P'town was the favorite for this month. Everyone should go to P'town for Carnival.
