Looking Back - January 2008

With the end of the year fast approaching, we thought we'd let you go down (snicker here) memory lane with us.  We've done a lot of blogging the past 12 months... here are the highlights, month by month...  Just click on the bolded title to rememorize with us...  The number of times the post has been clicked on (as of 12/17/08) and presumably read is in parenthesis. 

Like the snow, we covered a lot of ground in January...

HEALTH

Always keeping the health of our fans and readers in mind (hey, if you die, we got nothin'), Nurse Ann Thrax, Head Nurse at the Lady Zeno Memorial Groinicological Free Clinic in Beaver Pond, issued this announcement of a growing problem in a post called Syphilis Awareness (508).

We also wanted to give you an idea of what safe sex looks like in other countries so we gave you Bombay Boys Practice Safe Sex (1,135).  This post got a LOT of hits after the tragedy in Mumbai (before that, did you know that's what they call Bombay these days?).

VERMONT

Burlington and Beaver Pond are not the only great places in Vermont.   A B&B in Waterbury was named to a prestigious list in Bed, Beavers & Beyond (440), we declared Montpelier... Gayest State Capitol... per capita? (284), and we liked showing pictures of events that didn't involve us - January Thaw Beach Party (1,717).  And Amber gave pointers on one of our favorite activities in Shopping? Did Someone Say Shopping? (458) and goes on and on about Old Gold in Burlington.

US

Well, it IS our blog... due to a December '07 storm, our annual holiday show was canceled and we presented it in January, so Stocking Stuffers '07 (586) is here.  And we also reached WAY back in our huge stack of photos and found pictures of Drag Camp 2001 (211).  Yep, Sabilla, Courtney, Naomi, Fiji and the rest are there. 

Sex Sells, Silliness Doesn't

One of our biggest "hits" of the month was the video from Mr. Gay International Contest - Swimsuits (967) and one of the least hit on (sounds like a LeMay at a singles party) was Down Peniscope (122) - funny French cartoon from the 1920's - can you give us a translation?
