Looking Back - September 2008

posted Tuesday, 9 December 2008

As summer waned, we were working it.  Click on the bolded titles to find out what we were up to.  The number in parenthesis is the number of "reads" of the article as of 12/27/08.

POLITICS IS LOCAL

We were still riding the election train in making Bib Fisk's Sarah Palin Connection  (178) as well as getting our League of Drag Queen Voters - In the news...  (152).

ALL THE WORLD IS OUR STAGE

We started the month by being the HIT of The South End Art Hop - with VIDEO!  (249).  And we played Waterbury for the first time on Marsala Salsa Saturday  (155) and again later in the month for Waterbury, Vt. Phill Phest 7  (204).

GOOD DEEDS

Lucy Belle was the second highest fundrasier for AIDS Walk '08 - In Pictures  (168) and Nurse Ann Thrax warned us that FLU Season is Nothing to Sneeze at in Beaver Pond  (139).

ALL THE NEWS THAT FITS OF LAUGHTER

We gathered interesting news items, videos and pictures and made them available to our readers, as in Don't Ask, Don't... Spell?  (129), To die on stage... really.  (144), Ready for a gay OLD time?  (118), and Gay Clay Aiken - or not  (227).

IT'S STILL ALL ABOUT US

Yep, it's our blog and we'll write about us if we want to...Rusty Dewees, The LeMays and Craigslist  (142) and Whipping up memories  (118).

You know, being regulars in Waterbury was fun, walking the runway at Art Hop was a thrill, and the Vt Cares AIDS Walk was fun. I will have to pick the Phil Phest, it was fun wishing Phil a Happy Birthday,

  • making new friends and walking up into the American Legion and they did not throw us out! We had a lot of fun.
