March 2009 - Marryin' Madness!
March was a great month for this blog... our second highest month in readership... thank you!!!! We may not have been out in the public as much as we were in January or February (which was a lot) but that didn't stop us from writing and reporting!!
The big news for March was in Montpelier concerning same-sex marriage. The Senate passed the bill and then before the House could vote on it, Governor Douglas vowed to veto the bill if it came to his desk. We did several posts about it... one for humor (Gay Marriage - Coming to a State Near Us?)... one about a stirring speech in front of the Senate (Who are "they" - We know!!!)... the support of one local business (Not Just Window Dressing)... and with protests against the Governor (The Sheet Hits the Fans - and Foes).
We love to spread gossip break news here on our blog. So we were THRILLED to tell you about the upcoming Snuggie Pub Crawl. On Saturday, May 2, we'll be downtown in Burlington, wrapped in our LeMay-style Snuggie... drinking!!! Come join us!!! And we brought your attention to things... like Elton's and Aretha's birthday...useful services such as if you need assistance with your video or web page needs...and the Lyric Theatre production of Hello, Dolly!
But we did make it out... or at least our photographers did... like at the Super Hero and Spectacle of Sin parties at Higher Ground.
And we presented our Sap Tappin' Mud Flappin' Revue.
