Name Game - 2nd Verse

A few days ago we exclusively presented the thoughts that Lt. Governor Brian Dubie, if he were to decide to run for governor, could change his name to Doobie.  And that we thought others could change their names... Deb Markowitz could become Deb Marky-Markowitz in the primary and then Deb Markz in the general election and Doug Racine turns into Doug Racin' to go after the Thunder Road crowd.  It's called branding, folks!!!

Now, with the announcement on Friday, September 18 that the son of a former Gov. and Lieutenant Governor and brother of a state senator is running for the Republican nomination for his mother's former post (Lt. Gov.), in November of 2010, you could possibly find this candidate on your ballot:

Richard and/or Barbara and/or Diane "Mark" Snelling

"Mark" may be well known in the "business" world to get the white collar votes, but those people tend to think.  It's the other voters that "Mark" hopes to attract by adding Dad's, Mom's and Sis's names to the ballot.  We imagine "Mark" is thinking,  "Hey, they've voted for everyone else in my family, why not me?" 

Lots of things could happen between now and election day, both real and imagined...keep checking back.
