40 Years of Queer Stage and Screen
a benefit for PRIDE and Red Stage Theater Company

What a nice event!!! It was Tuesday, July 21 and held at the Black Box Theater at Main Street Landing on the Waterfront. While we had been at the Black Box a few weeks earlier for the Spielpalast Cabaret and the showing of Slingbacks and Syrup was right down the hall in the movie theatre, this was the first time for us to perform there. What fun!! We still have a few firsts left!!

It was nice seeing friends who attended the pre-show reception.
Fonda and Celeste performed as well. The other acts were members of the Red Stage doing scenes and songs from gay-themed movies and plays.
One scene was from their upcoming production of "Five Flights" that looked very good - and includes boy/boy kissing!! (Hey, we'll take our thrills where we can get'em.)
It was a very nice evening of entertainment!
It was so nice to perform in a "real" performance space... dressing rooms, a "green room"... we felt like pros!!!

Amber had her pre-show "lemonade" to clear her vocal chords... and then took the time to snoop (or is that sniff?) around...

And look what she found!!!
We were the last act to go on... after introducing ourselves, Amber and Maggie told the story of Stonewall and the connection to Judy Garland's funeral. This lead into their Garland medley that featured The Trolley Song, Am I Blue, Not for Me, I've Got Rhythm, Just In Time and, of course, Over the Rainbow.
Lucy then came on stage to recite her "pome" entitled "One More Time."
And we ended our set with... of course... Colorado ...

What a fun night we had!
