Party? Did someone say "Party!"?

posted Tuesday, 30 June 2009

On Saturday we were invited to stop by Chris' 40th birthday party in the Franklin Lloyd Wright Room at Parima.  What fun!!!  You know it was a good party because she had DJ Rob Douglas!  We had so much fun - and were happy to be a part of it.  And Maggie and Lucy had a blast from the past - seeing Dominic and Tracy who they met at SantaCon last December.  Read about it HERE.

We'd love to come to YOUR party... let us know... WARNING: We like to have fun!  And we like to have a cold beverage now and again, (and again), too.

And it's always fun to see dear old long-time friends... like Joey-Pop!
Also nice to see Parima owner Jip.  Chris' friends gave her LOTS of nice gifts...
and we gave her a copy of Slingbacks and Syrup .  Hope she liked it!

Yes, we had a fun presentation for Chris, then we told the story of the Stonewall Riots
(it was the 40th anniversary) and then we sang our signature song, Colorado.  We did a similar presentation the next night at Half Lounge.

After we left Parima, we HAD to tour Church Street!!  It was a beautiful (and non-raining) summer night and we knew that the cafes and bars would be hoppin'.  We were right!!  And we ran into a lot of people we knew along the way.  That's a great thing (and there are a lot more) about Burlington.  If you want to run into someone you know, head to Church Street!
Amber had to hug our artist friend Johnny Alexander (left) and national touring musician Gregory Douglass.

Our first stop after the party was at Red Square... LOVE the outback patio... DJ Stavros kept us dancing...
Out in the Red Square alley was the band Calypso Soldiers... They gave Amber a copy of their CD.

Then it was across the street to RiRa!

And then it was time to head home... time to call Amy and Green Cab...
