Seven Days Birthday Parties '02 and '05

posted Wednesday, 5 September 2007

Seven Days, our weekly alternative newspaper, has always been a good friend of The House of LeMay.  And we like to return the favor when we can.  For their 7th birthday party on September 7, 2002, they had a big party at 1 Main Street in the parking lot.  One of the events was a "Make a Pinata Contest."  We entered "The Busts of Beaver Pond" which included paper mache'd heads of Amber, Maggie, Lucy, Liza, Bibs and Lady Zeno.  We were voted "Funniest Pinata" by the crowd.  But why did everyone want to be the one to bust us?  BTW, inside the pinata were condoms and lube.

Then in 2005 they had their 10th Birthday Party at Nectars.  Lucy Belle and Margaurite went to this one.  Part of the entertainment was Leslie and the Ly's.  She's gone on and become quite the ceWEBrity and is famous for her sweaters.

Co-owners/publishers/editors Paula Routley and Pamela Poulston enjoyed the entertainment with Mayor Peter Clavelle.

Part of the evening was a contest..."How do you use your Seven Days?"  Well, Lucy Belle showed her stuff (and her 7 Days) by making a purse, pair of shoes, hat and ear rings out of her favorite reading material.  It was a fun, fun, party.

We also had a BLAST at their 2007 Daysie Awards Party.

GIRL!!! That 7th birthday WAS a party!!! We had so much fun making our pinata... I can still remember the happy looks on peoples faces as they kept hitting us with long sticks.... hmmm now that I think about it they were a bit TOO happy!

Sorry I missed the 10th year's party. I was Bob's date to Serena and Don's wedding. It took both of us to keep an eye on Kathy that's for sure! It's nice seeing that picture of three of our favorite P's... Paula, Pamela and Peter (Routly, Polston and Clavelle).

Can't make the Hop or this year's 7 Days party... will tell you about that later...

Hugs, Amber
