Vermont CARES Silent & Live Auction
Hey Y'all.
Last night, Saturday April 11, Vermont CARES had their annual Live & Silent Auction. It was held at the Inn at Essex. Sorry that us girls could not make it from Beaver Pond, Vt. (we were resting from last week's Fools Fest and Beach Party and getting ready for next week's events)... we needed a break!
Our friends Johnnie and Bob went to the event and took these pictures. We donated a copy of Slingbacks and Syrup along with some popcorn and candy to the cause. The highest bid was $30!
We see here our friends Peter Jacobsen (Executive Director of CARES) and Shawn Lipinski (the evening's host).
Providing music was The Joe Capps Group. Here is a picture of Bill Lippert (left) and Enrique Peredo. Bill is the Chair of the Vermont House Judiciary Committee. He was instrumental in passing the Vermont same-sex marriage bill last week. Bill and Enrique will soon be celebrating their twentieth anniversary as a couple.
Johnnie ran into Meg who put a pair of Lucy's shoes in an exhibit at the Fleming Museum last year. Then there's a picture of dueling polka dot shirts and then Roy Belcher (Anti-Stigma Program Specialist at CARES) and his friend Francis. It looks like it was a fun night!
After the event Bob and Johnnie stopped by Two Friends Bistro....
and ran into our friend from B Scene Ben...
And DJ's Rob Douglas and Javi...
